What this page describes
This page describes the cookies and similar technologies found in the current CodEva website. It is based on the application code, the analytics package included with the site, and a check of the review site in a browser. It does not describe tools that might be added later.
Local and session storage
The website code does not write to local storage or session storage. The enquiry form does not save a draft in the browser. The analytics package included with the site does not use either store.
Vercel Web Analytics
A production build of this website includes Vercel Web Analytics. It is not loaded while the site is running in local development. On the current Vercel review deployment it is loaded. The browser requested /_vercel/insights/script.js and a page-view request to /_vercel/insights/view, both on the same host as the website.
The package records page views. Its client code does not set a cookie and does not use local or session storage. Vercel describes this product as not using cookies. CodEva has not reproduced Vercel’s full list of fields or retention period in this draft. Those details need to be confirmed from Vercel’s current documentation and contract before launch.
No separate analytics account, tracking ID, or advertising tag is configured in the project.
Fonts and other requests
Typefaces are built with the site and downloaded from the same host as the pages. The review-site check did not show a request to Google, Meta, or another advertising or analytics domain. Images and the rest of the page are also served from the site itself.
Technologies that are not in use
The current website does not include:
- Google Analytics
- Meta Pixel, or other advertising pixels
- A tag manager
- Embedded video or social plugins
- A cookie consent platform
Those tools are not authorised for installation now. If one is added later, this page will need to be updated first, and consent will need to be considered before the tool is switched on.
Whether consent is required
UK rules require consent before a site stores information on a device, or reads information already stored there, unless the storage is strictly necessary for a service the person asked for. A non-essential analytics cookie normally needs consent.
The current site does not set a cookie and does not use local or session storage. Vercel Web Analytics, as implemented here, did not store information on the device during the review-site check. On that evidence, a consent banner is not required for the technologies that are active today. No banner has been added.
This conclusion still needs legal review, and a repeat of the cookie check on the public domain, before launch. If that review finds a non-essential cookie or similar store, a consent mechanism will be required before the site is made public. It will not be added silently.
Changes and contact
CodEva will update this page if the technologies on the site change. Questions can be sent to privacy@codevatech.com. How CodEva handles personal data is described in the Privacy Policy.
